A metronome is a device that produces a sound at a regular interval of time, this sound helps musicians play their instruments at a steady pulse and maintain it throughout an entire piece.
Normally the sound of a metronome is similar to a tick or click, this applies for both analog and digital ones. But for some people it can become a bit annoying or even hard to notice and follow while playing their instruments.
I have a close relationship with music and dance, so I wanted to develop a product that can help both musicians and dancers to keep a rhythm.
LIGHT PATTERN
I decided to design this device according to the possible needs of the user. The music has different rhythmic patterns and subdivisions I designated a central element, which is the most important, and 6 others around it. Each one works separately
VIBRATION
The vibration works together with the light, each time the central element lights up the vibration is also activated, whether we are using the subdivision or not

I designed this product from its internal structure, in order to take advantage of the space and reduce the size of the final prototype..
In this case I used Autodesk Inventor to obtain the 3D of the board in order to design all the components.
You can see the file here.
Finally, the prototype was worked entirely using digital fabrication.
The following video shows a summary of the process.
