This project focused on the design of small pots for indoor use, either at home or in an office.
After a research process, it was determined that, for this project, the care of the plant and the importance of keeping it well hydrated should be taken into account.
In many cases, routine or responsibilities sometimes make it difficult to keep track of how much water a plant is consuming, resulting in its death, either due to lack or excess of water.
Two products were designed, whose functionality is the same. One of them has a more colorful and eye-catching aesthetic and the other is more neutral. In both cases the plants use a cord at the bottom that allows them to have contact with the water, which is placed in a lower container. In this way, the plant only consumes the amount of water it needs and the container only has to be refilled every two or three weeks.
Models were also made using different technologies such as 3D printing, CNC machining and laser cutting for both designs. Silicone molds and final prototype were also made for one of them.
